Cadillac Racing's Historic Return: 2025 CT5-V and CT4-V Blackwing Special Editions Launched

Cadillac has written a new chapter by reviving itself from the pages of automobile history. Following the impressive performance of its V-Series.R at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans race, Cadillac has introduced special editions of its classic models for 2025.

It pays homage to Briggs Cunningham's 1950s Le Mans campaigns, in which two unique versions of the Cadillac Series 61 Coupe, “Le Monstre” and “Petit Pataud,” became the talk of the town at the French track. Let's find out what makes these new offerings special.

1950s Era and Historical Legacy

1950 Briggs Cunningham first brought the American dream to the French circuit. His entries, “Le Monstre” and “Petit Pataud,” won the hearts of Parisian racing enthusiasts. Le Monstre, an aero-body car, was developed with Grumman Aircraft. Its aluminum skin and wind tunnel design were notable, used for testing slow-flying aircraft. The Petit Pataud, on the other hand, won people's hearts with its sense of simplicity and cuteness.

2025 Offerings: Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre and CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud

Cadillac has revived Cunningham's legacy by introducing the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre and CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud. These cars pay homage to the historic background of Le Mans with their style, design, and performance.

The CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre is a unique approach that features Magnus Metal Frost exterior paint. The design of the car comes alive with Stormhawk Blue carbon fiber accents and Royal Blue brake calipers. It features a Black Mirror cap and badges that give it a powerful and imposing look. The interior comes in Phantom Blue with Santorini accents and Jet Black or Sky Cool Grey seats. The race number #2 and the American flag are reminiscent of the original model.

The CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud comes with the race number #3 as a nod to the 1950 race. Its design includes the same elegance and special touches that give it a unique look. Only 50 of these will be made, making it a highly exclusive and cult classic model.

Cadillac makes a grand return to Le Mans
