Land Rover has introduced its Classic Defender range with a new special edition in new colors. Recently, Land Rover unveiled the Classic Defender V8 crafted by "Works Bespoke", which is described as "the next chapter in the Classic Defender story". Like the previous limited edition, this new edition is also tied to a special story and design, although this time Land Rover has removed the number limits, indicating that they are deeply involved in the restaurant business.

In the past years, Land Rover has showcased several special editions, such as the 2016 Heritage Edition and the 2021 Trophy Edition, which took the latest models of the old Defender in a new direction. But with the new "Works Bespoke" edition, Land Rover has taken a different approach. This special edition preserves the exterior features of the old Classic Defender while adorning it with new layers of modern technology and comfort.

Though limited runs were announced for the other versions, there is no such mention for this new Works Bespoke Classic Defender V8, making it clear that Land Rover is now fully committed to this professional refurbishment. Also, this new version offers a modern twist to eight to twelve-year-old vehicles, giving customers a nostalgic feel as well as a new and unique driving experience.

Land Rover Classic brings back its old heroes: From nostalgia to modern technology, now with new power and style

Land Rover Classic has revived its old heroes, and this new offering will take the greatness of their legendary vehicle to new heights. With a pool of around 80,000 units sourced from donor vehicles from 2012 to 2016, the company has once again worked to combine old heritage with new-age technology. In the process, the chassis is redesigned to give the donor vehicle a completely new look. The combination of the power of the latest 5.0-liter V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission propels this classic vehicle from 0 to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds, while modern technologies like Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs keep it perfectly balanced.

Land Rover offers a choice of grille options in Heritage, Standard, or Adventure layouts, giving this classic vehicle a distinct personality. Additionally, customers have the option to choose from Land Rover's Heritage, Contemporary, Premium, and SV Metallic colors, with color matching available. For exterior trim, the accessories catalog includes an exterior cage, winch, ladder, lights and light bars, roof rack, side steps, and camper conversion with tall trims, making this vehicle ready for every adventure.

On the interior, this classic Land Rover is loaded with modern features. Features like leather-appointed interiors, a 3.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and sports seats or Recaros make it modern and comfortable. Wheel options are also available as per customer preference with a choice of 16-inch steel Wolf rims or 18-inch Sawtooth alloys. With this great combination, the Land Rover Classic has offered a unique experience by combining nostalgia with the demands of the new age.

The new Redux range of Land Rover Defender has created a stir in the market, and its prices are also quite attractive. The four-seat 90 variant starts at £190,000 ($250,378 U.S.), while the five-seat 110 can go for £199,000 ($262,237 U.S.) and the seven-seat 110 can go up to £204,000 ($268,826 U.S.). The prices for these fantastic off-road vehicles, while high, are in line with prices at U.S. design shops. However, it's worth noting that these models are not available in the U.S. as Land Rover pulled the Defender from the American market in 1997 and rules for selling 25-year-old vehicles make it difficult to bring it to the U.S.

But there's good news for Defender lovers! During the Goodwood Revival event on September 6-8, demo units will be on display for the first time on the visiting Duke of Richmond's lawn. This grand event will provide an opportunity to experience live the features of the Defender Redux and its striking design, making it yet another great automotive moment.
